The Office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Kano State Governor on Publicity, Comrade Al’amin Albarra, has launched a strategic mobilisation campaign aimed at rallying support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s second-term bid ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The initiative is designed to enhance public awareness of the Yusuf administration’s policies, programmes and achievements while building broad-based support for the governor’s re-election.

According to the office, the campaign is being coordinated through the SSA I on Publicity as part of a comprehensive communication strategy to showcase the administration’s development agenda and strengthen public engagement across Kano State.

The mobilisation drive will focus on grassroots outreach, effective public communication and sustained engagement with citizens, highlighting the government’s achievements in key sectors while promoting the continuity of its development policies.

As part of the campaign, the publicity office plans to deploy multiple communication platforms to reach residents, particularly young people and other critical voting blocs, with messages centred on good governance, development and inclusive leadership.

The initiative comes as political activities begin to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, with supporters and stakeholders of the administration intensifying efforts to mobilise public support for Governor Yusuf’s re-election.

The office stressed that the campaign extends beyond electoral mobilisation, noting that it is also intended to strengthen the relationship between the government and the people through consistent communication, transparency and public engagement.

The campaign is expected to feature a series of strategic activities showcasing the administration’s accomplishments while creating platforms for citizens to interact with government on issues affecting the state’s development.

A video released by the office highlights one of the ongoing mobilisation activities, offering a glimpse into the broader campaign strategy designed to build support for Governor Yusuf’s 2027 second-term ambition.

Political observers believe the initiative is likely to inject fresh momentum into Kano’s political landscape as parties, supporters and interest groups gradually position themselves for the 2027 elections.
