The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Fagge Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Sulaiman Goro, has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Kwankwasiyya movement, pledging to continue working for the development of Kano State and Fagge Local Government Area.

Goro, a former member of the House of Representatives who once represented Fagge Federal Constituency and served as Chairman of the House Committee on Tertiary Institutions, made the declaration during an interview with journalists.

He expressed appreciation to the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, alongside party supporters and political associates, for giving him another opportunity to serve the people.

“I thank Almighty Allah for granting me another opportunity under the leadership of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. I also appreciate his supporters and associates for the confidence they have in me,” Goro said.

The former lawmaker assured residents of Fagge that his political camp would revive its previous achievements while introducing new initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the people and strengthening the Kwankwasiyya ideology.

“By the grace of Allah, we will restore what we were known for and even improve on it. We will continue to protect the interests of our people, Kano State, and the Kwankwasiyya movement, which stands for the common man,” he stated.

According to Goro, the Kwankwasiyya ideology has deep roots in Kano’s political history and draws inspiration from the late Malam Aminu Kano, whom he described as the foundation of the movement’s philosophy.

“This ideology originated from Kano State. Leaders like Malam Aminu Kano laid the foundation, while Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso represents the continuation of that political philosophy in this generation,” he added.

Reacting to speculations that he could distance himself from Kwankwaso after winning elective office, Goro dismissed the claims as false and baseless.

“That is not true. We supported Kwankwaso even when he was not in government. Our loyalty is not tied to political office or power.

We follow him because we believe in his leadership and ideology,” he said.

He also expressed confidence that the NDC would record victories at all levels in future elections, while projecting a bigger political future for Kwankwaso.

“We are united in Kano and fully committed to supporting Kwankwaso politically. By Allah’s grace, the NDC will form government from top to bottom,” Goro stated.

The NDC candidate further revealed that efforts were already underway to create employment opportunities for youths across the constituency.

“We have started exploring ways to provide jobs for young people. Some of those we assisted in securing employment in the past have now risen to the level of directors in different establishments,” he noted.
