The Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS) says it has deploy 1,314 personnel across the 44 Local Government Areas to enhance security during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
The State Commander of NFSS, Abdullahi Al’ameen, disclosed this in an interview on Wednesday in Kano.
He said the personnel has been strategically station at major roads, prayer grounds, markets and other public places to maintain order and assist relevant agencies during the festive period.
According to him,”the command will collaborate with Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other sister agencies to strengthen security across the state before, during and after the celebrations.
“The deployment is part of proactive measures to safeguard lives and property, as well as ensure hitch-free movement of residents and visitors during Sallah festivities.
“We have mobilise our personnel to all 44 local government areas to provide security coverage during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations,” he said.
Al’ameen reaffirm commitment of the service to support government efforts toward maintaining peace and security in the state.
