The Kano State Police Command has commended the Kano State Government, traditional rulers, security agencies, and residents for their collective roles in ensuring a peaceful and orderly 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration across the state.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Command expressed profound appreciation to all stakeholders whose cooperation contributed to maintaining law and order during the Sallah festivities.
The Command particularly praised the Kano State Government for its unwavering support, strategic leadership, and collaboration with security agencies throughout the festive period.
It also acknowledged the contributions of traditional rulers across the state, describing their guidance, cooperation, and commitment to peace as instrumental to the successful celebration.
According to the statement, residents of Kano State were equally commended for their prayers, support, and compliance with security advisories issued before and during the celebrations.
“The commitment of the good people of Kano State to peace and unity remains commendable and reflects the resilience for which the state is known,” the statement noted.
