Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, has called on Muslims to uphold the values of obedience, sacrifice, love and total submission to the will of Allah as they celebrate Eid-ul-Kabir.
The senator made the call in an Eid message issued to journalists in Kano on Wednesday.
According to him, Eid-ul-Kabir remains a symbol of faith, devotion and selflessness, reflecting the exemplary obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice in line with Allah’s command.
Senator Musa urged Muslims to reflect on the lessons of the festival and imbibe its virtues in their daily lives to promote peace, unity and development in Niger East, Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.
He also encouraged Nigerians to continue praying for the country, support one another and show compassion to the less privileged during the festive season.
The lawmaker further appealed to Muslim faithful to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders at all levels for wisdom and success in delivering good democratic governance.
He stressed the need for divine guidance to ensure peaceful political activities and orderly electoral processes across the country.
Senator Musa wished Muslims in Nigeria and around the world a peaceful, joyful and spiritually rewarding Eid-ul-Kabir celebration.
