Two staff members of the Nursing Services Unit at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) have contributed to healthcare knowledge with the publication of new books focusing on child nutrition and patient care.
According to a brief statement shared on the hospital’s official press WhatsApp platform, the authors, Abubakar Mijinyawa and Bashir Madaki, independently wrote the books titled “Child Nutrition & Nutritional Disorders” and “Kulawa da Marasa Lafiya a Saukake, Gida ko Asibiti.”
The statement explained that the publications aim to provide practical and accessible guidance on key health issues. While Mijinyawa’s book is written in English and focuses on child nutrition and related disorders, Madaki’s Hausa-language publication offers simplified insights into patient care both at home and in hospital settings.
Hospital authorities described the books as informative and beneficial resources for healthcare workers, caregivers, and the general public seeking better understanding of nutrition and basic health services.
Both publications are currently available for purchase at the AKTH Information Unit at a cost of ₦6,000 each.
Interested readers and members of the public are encouraged to visit the unit for copies. For further inquiries, the statement advised contacting Hadiza Ahmad Gwadabe or Aimana Abdulrazak through the unit’s secretariat.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts by healthcare professionals at AKTH to promote knowledge sharing and improve health awareness within the community.
