Members of the Niger East diaspora community have declared their support for Senator Mohammed Sani Musa’s bid for a third term in the 2027 general elections, citing his alleged interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure and youth empowerment across the senatorial district.

The declaration was contained in a statement issued in Minna on Tuesday by Ibrahim Mustapha, Strategic Communications and Youth Development Advocate, on behalf of the diaspora community.

Mustapha said the group’s decision was based on what it described as the senator’s record of interventions in education, healthcare, water supply, rural infrastructure and youth development.

According to the statement, 750 students recently benefited from the second batch of Musa’s domestic scholarship scheme.

It said PhD students received N500,000 each, medical students N300,000, Master’s students N200,000, while undergraduates received N100,000.

The group further disclosed that a medical student from Paikoro Local Government Area was currently studying abroad under a full scholarship sponsored by the senator.

On youth development, Mustapha said ICT training centres had been established in Bosso, Suleja, Chanchaga, Shiroro, Rafi, Munya, Gurara and Tafa Local Government Areas.

He said youths at the centres were receiving training in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, data analytics and artificial intelligence.

The statement also cited interventions in healthcare facilities, water projects, rural roads and various empowerment programmes across the Niger East Senatorial District.

Mustapha said the group’s decision to support Musa’s re-election was based on what it described as evidence of his performance in the district.

He added that members of the Niger East diaspora in 18 countries were mobilising support for the senator ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the group would deploy its networks and Permanent Voter Cards in support of Musa’s ambition, describing the 2027 contest as “three times assured.”

The statement concluded with prayers for the senator’s health, protection and success in the 2027 elections.
