Media groups supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been urged to intensify their activities and remain committed to securing victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.

The charge was given by the Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Publicity, Hon. Ahmed S. Aruwa, during the presentation of appointment letters to patrons, grand patrons, advisers, State Executive Council members, zonal executives and local government chairmen of the Gida Gida Reporters in Kano State.

Aruwa warned APC media supporters against complacency, stressing that the political contest ahead would require sustained commitment regardless of the influence or political strength of opposition parties.

He called on members of the Gida Gida Reporters to make effective use of their various media platforms to inform and educate the public on the programmes, policies and achievements of the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“You must not relent in your efforts. You should use your media platforms effectively to enlighten the people about the achievements of this administration and work tirelessly to ensure victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections,” Aruwa said.

The governor’s aide commended the organisers and members of the association for their efforts in promoting the activities and achievements of the present administration.

He also pledged to collaborate with the Gida Gida Reporters to strengthen public enlightenment and information dissemination on government policies and programmes, particularly as the 2027 elections approach.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Gida Gida Media Group, Hon. Amir Abdullahi Kima, urged members of the organisation to sustain their efforts in publicising the activities and achievements of the government.

Kima also appealed to the state government to continue supporting the group in its efforts to disseminate information and educate members of the public.

As part of the proceedings, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was appointed Grand Patron of the association, while his deputy, Hon. Murtala Sule Garo, was appointed Patron.
Aruwa was also appointed Adviser to the association.

The event brought together members and stakeholders of the Gida Gida Reporters from across Kano State as the group positioned itself for increased media engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
