The Tinubu Maliya Shonikan (TMS) Organisation has inaugurated its local government coordinators across Kano North Senatorial District, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and support the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of future political engagements.

The inauguration ceremony, held on Sunday at the Amani Event Centre, Nassarawa GRA, Kano, was led by the organisation’s leader, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf Garo, popularly known as Shonikan, alongside the Kano State Chairman of TMS, Barrister Nura Abdullahi Bagwai.

Speaking at the event, the organisers said the establishment of TMS structures across Kano North was driven by the need to support and promote the programmes and political activities associated with Senator Barau I. Jibril Maliya.

They described Senator Barau as a key political figure who has contributed significantly to the development and representation of Kano North, stressing that the organisation would continue to mobilise support for initiatives considered beneficial to the people of the senatorial district.

The organisers also said the initiative was designed to strengthen the APC’s grassroots structure across Kano North and the wider Kano State.

As part of the inauguration, social media agents drawn from the 141 wards across Kano North were presented with Android tablet computers and data support to enable them to effectively communicate the activities, programmes and achievements of TMS and its political allies through various digital platforms.

The leadership of the organisation explained that the distribution of the devices, alongside monthly data support, was part of a broader strategy to establish a coordinated and effective digital communication network across the senatorial district.

According to the organisers, the digital network will provide a platform for timely dissemination of information and greater engagement with residents, supporters and other stakeholders across the communities.

TMS further announced plans to introduce additional programmes and initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation and contributing to the growth and success of the APC from the grassroots to the state level.

The event was attended by several dignitaries and political stakeholders, including the Managing Director of the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Engr. Rabi’u Suleiman Bichi, who served as the guest speaker; APC National Vice Chairman, North-West, Hon. Garba Datti Mohammed; and the Commissioner, National Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Yusuf A. Yusuf Tabuka.

Also in attendance was a representative of the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, alongside APC leaders, members, supporters and representatives of the TMS Organisation from across Kano North.

The organisers expressed gratitude for the successful and peaceful conclusion of the inauguration, describing the event as a significant step towards consolidating the organisation’s structure, grassroots presence and activities across Kano North Senatorial District.
