Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has assured members of the Sokoto State Car Dealers Association of sustained government support aimed at strengthening their businesses and enhancing economic growth in the state.
The former governor gave the assurance on Saturday when the leadership of the association paid him a solidarity visit at his Gawon Nama residence in Sokoto.
Wamakko, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, commended the association for its contributions to the local economy and urged members to remain united in pursuit of their common goals.
He disclosed that government business intervention programmes would soon be extended to members of the association to support and expand their commercial activities.
The senator also called on the association to support ongoing efforts to address insecurity by providing useful information on suspected bandit informants and other criminal elements.
Speaking on behalf of the association’s chairman, Mansur Zagi, the association’s representative, Bashir Muhtasibi, reaffirmed members’ support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
Muhtasibi further pledged the association’s continued loyalty to the APC and its commitment to supporting the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
