The wife of the Governor of Jigawa State, Dr. Amina Umar Namadi, has distributed Sallah clothes to about 2,000 orphans and widows in Harbo town of Jahun Local Government Area as part of efforts to support vulnerable members of the community ahead of the Eid celebrations.

Speaking during the distribution ceremony in Harbo, Dr. Namadi explained that the gesture was aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by the less privileged, particularly during festive periods such as Eid when many families struggle to provide basic needs.

She emphasized that supporting vulnerable groups remains a priority, noting that such initiatives are meant to bring relief and joy to those in need during the Sallah festivities.
Dr. Namadi also revealed that the state government has included the construction of township roads in Harbo as part of projects captured in the 2026 appropriation bill.

According to her, the project is expected to improve infrastructure and enhance socio-economic activities within the community.
In their separate remarks, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters, Amb. Salisu Seeker, and community leader Alhaji Isah Adamu Indallahi commended Dr. Namadi for her generosity and commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.

They described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that it would go a long way in easing the burden of the Eid celebration for the beneficiaries.

Some of the orphans who benefited from the assistance also expressed their gratitude to Dr. Namadi for the kind gesture, saying the support would help them celebrate Sallah with dignity and happiness.

It would be recalled that Dr. Amina Umar Namadi recently extended similar support to vulnerable people in Tsangayar Rama of Sundumina Ward, as part of her ongoing humanitarian outreach across communities in the state.

The initiative is expected to significantly ease the burden of Eid celebrations for many less privileged families in the area.
