Kano State Police Command has joined the national celebration of 70 years of the Nigeria Police Women Unit with a security sensitization lecture for primary and secondary school students in the state.
The event, held in Kano featured women police officers who educated students on safety measures and the importance of security consciousness.
The lecture also highlighted the growing roles and contributions of women in policing and national development.
Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended women officers for their seven decades of professionalism, courage and dedication to safeguarding lives and property. He urged them to remain role models for younger generations.
The Command expressed appreciation to schools and parents for supporting the sensitization programme, reiterating its commitment to enhancing safety, security and community engagement across Kano State.
