Kano Sharia Commission Launches 30,000 Copies of 1448 AH Islamic Calendar

The Kano State Sharia Commission has launched 30,000 copies of the Islamic Calendar for the year 1448 AH for distribution to Muslims across Kano State, Nigeria and beyond.

The calendar was unveiled at an event held at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Second Commissioner of the Kano State Sharia Commission, Sheikh Ali Dan Abba, said the initiative was designed to provide Muslims with useful religious and educational information while helping them keep track of important Islamic dates, days and months.

Dan Abba reiterated the directive of the Chairman of the Commission, Sheikh Abbas Abubakar Daneji, that the representatives entrusted with the calendars should ensure they are distributed to the intended beneficiaries free of charge.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief of Staff to the Kano State Governor, who represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, commended the Sharia Commission for its efforts to promote Islamic teachings and contribute to the development of society.

He urged members of the public, particularly those who receive copies of the calendar, to make proper use of it in keeping track of Islamic days and months.

The Chief of Staff further encouraged beneficiaries to take advantage of the religious and educational information contained in the calendar.

The initiative is expected to make the 1448 AH Islamic calendar accessible to Muslims in Kano and other parts of Nigeria and beyond.
