“The well-to-do among us need to emulate the state government in supporting the less privileged, the needy, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and persons living with disabilities,” he stated.

Governor Aliyu disclosed that the state government spends huge sums annually to support Muslim clerics, the needy, IDPs, and persons with disabilities to enable them celebrate Eid-el-Kabir comfortably.

“As Muslims, we have to be helpful and supportive to one another, especially in times of need such as this,” he said.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Sokoto State.

He also urged residents to use the Eid prayer sessions to pray for lasting peace and an end to insecurity in parts of the state, assuring them of his administration’s determination to tackle banditry.
