Kano, The Kano State Government has inaugurated a Committee on the Review of Qualifying Examinations in the State, aimed at strengthening the education sector.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Information Officer,Office of Secretary to the State Government, Musa Tanko in Kano on Friday.
The committee was inaugurated by the Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Directorate, representing the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umar FIbrahim.
The SSG’s representative said the committee’s establishment demonstrated the administration’s commitment to improving the education sector and sustaining the gains recorded under Governor Abba Yusuf’s leadership.
The committee is tasked with reviewing the existing examination processes, evaluating materials and personnel, and identifying areas for improvement.
It is expected to submit its report within four weeks and is chaired by the Special Adviser on Corporate Social Responsibility.
The committee’s inauguration is seen as another step towards revitalizing education and maintaining the state’s record of excellence in examinations.
