Nigeria Customs Releases Final List for ASC II Recruitment, Sets July 29 Deadline for Medical Certificate Upload

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the final list of successful candidates for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) in its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.

In a press statement issued on Monday by the National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, the Service advised candidates to visit the official Nigeria Customs Service website and selected national newspapers to confirm their recruitment status and obtain details of the next stage of the exercise.

According to the statement, successful applicants will also receive official notifications through their registered email addresses and SMS messages containing further instructions on the recruitment process.

The NCS said candidates who receive the notification are required to log on to the recruitment portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness issued by a government-recognised hospital.

The Service disclosed that the portal for uploading the medical certificate will be activated on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and successful candidates must complete the process within one week of the portal’s activation.

In addition to uploading the medical certificate, candidates are expected to update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.

The statement added that after completing these steps, successful candidates should await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which will be communicated within one week. Details regarding documentation, physical screening, including dates, venues and other requirements, will also be communicated through the Service’s official channels.

The Nigeria Customs Service urged all successful candidates to comply strictly with the outlined procedures and timelines, warning that failure to meet any of the requirements or deadlines could lead to disqualification from the recruitment process and the forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.

On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated all successful candidates on their success in the recruitment exercise.

The Service said it looks forward to welcoming the new officers into its workforce as they begin careers built on professionalism, integrity and dedicated service to the nation.

The announcement marks another milestone in the ongoing recruitment exercise aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of the Nigeria Customs Service through the enlistment of qualified personnel into its officer cadre.
