The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated Hajia Bilkisu Maimota on her historic appointment as the Head of Service in Kano State, describing it as a significant milestone for women in leadership.
In a statement, the association said Maimota’s elevation reflects her competence, dedication, and years of exemplary service to the state. NAWOJ noted that her appointment not only breaks barriers but also sets a strong precedent for greater inclusion of women in governance and public service across Nigeria.
Reacting from Abuja, the National Chairperson of NAWOJ, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, described the development as a victory for merit and gender equity.
