The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Rano, His Highness Alhaji Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Isah Umar, following the death of the monarch’s mother.
During the visit, the police chief expressed deep sympathy on behalf of the Kano State Police Command and the entire Nigeria Police Force, describing the loss as a painful moment for the Emirate and the state at large.

He offered prayers for the repose of the deceased, asking Allah to grant her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
CP Bakori also prayed for strength and comfort for the Emir and members of the royal family, urging them to remain steadfast during the period of mourning.
In a related development, the Kano State Police Command marked the 2026 National Police Day with a special prayer session focused on peace, unity, and stability in the state and across Nigeria.
The event, attended by officers and personnel of the Command, sought divine intervention for a safer and more secure environment necessary for socio-economic growth and development.
Addressing participants, the Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that security remains a shared responsibility between the police and the public.
He called on residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and useful information that would aid crime prevention and law enforcement efforts.
The Kano State Police Command also joined other commands nationwide in celebrating National Police Day 2026, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of officers who continue to serve the country under challenging conditions.
