9 Bandits, 1 Vigilante Killed In Overnight Gun Duel In Shanono LG

A heavy exchange of Gun fire between Armed Bandits and the Nigeria Military, at Bakaji and Unguwar Garma in Goron Dutse area of Shanono Local Government, left nine Terrorists dead while they killed one Vigilante and wounded one.

The Bandits who raided the area at about 12pm came in their numbers with heavy Arms and Ammunition, however, reports has it that the gallant Nigeria Military contended them after several hours of gun duel.

The Chairman of the Shanono/Bagwai Community Security Forum, Alhaji Yahya Bagobiri, said that the Bandits after heavy fire from the Military they fled the area with about 40 Cows and Abducted six Persons.

He said the Military who killed the bandits took over their Motorcycles but the Criminal sneak back at about 5-6am opening heavy fire on the Military but still couldn’t penetrate the area.

Bagobiri lamented that, “because they came in hundreds they still took some six persons and 40 Cows, but thanks to the Military who returned heavy fire killing nine of them and making them to abundant their Motorcycles”.

The Chairman, notes that when they returned in the morning hours they took away their people killed.

“Let me, honestly commend the Military who safeguard the area and ensure that they stopped the Bandits from causing any serious havoc, they deserved been appreciated, because as at that time nobody couldn’t even come out from his home”.
