Kano, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has received multiple awards in recognition of his administration’s efforts in promoting educational development in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by his Press Secretary Mustapha Mohammed in Kano .
The Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) also lauded the governor for reverting Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education to its original status.
The awards were presented to the governor at the 32nd Executive Council Meeting.
The awards include the Joint Negotiation Council’s (JNC) Award, Education Merit Award by Students of Army Day Secondary School (Boys), Bukavu Barracks.
The rest are the award of Excellence by the Local Government Information Officers Forum of Nigeria and Federation of Cooperative Society Award, and African Public Relations Association (APRA) Award.
Dr. Hussaini Yahaya, Secretary of the Union, praised the governor’s commitment to educational development, describing it as “amazing”.
