HAJJ 2026: October 8, Remains Deadline for Remitance…KSPWB
The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has reaffirmed that October 8, 2025, remain the deadline for the remittance of 50% of the state’s Hajj seat allocation for 2026.
He made this known during a stakeholders’ meeting held in his office in a statement issued by the Spokesperson of the Board Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi.
According to Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u, this directive was issued by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which mandates all states to remit half of their allocated seats on or before October 8, 2025.
Kano State has been allocated a total of 5,684 Hajj seats for the 2026 pilgrimage.
He called on intending pilgrims to take advantage of the window period and process their Hajj drafts promptly to ensure that the state retains its full allocation.
The Director General further noted that the deadline for the remittance of the Final full Hajj fare remains December 31, 2025.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Board the strength, support, and cooperation needed to comply with the directives.
He also urged all stakeholders to intensify efforts to achieve the set objectives.
