The Wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Ambassador Dr. Hajiya Amina Umar Namadi, has reaffirmed her commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people with the donation of a wheelchair to an orphan living with a disability.
The wheelchair was presented earlier this week through the Halifa of Kafin Hausa, who delivered the donation on behalf of the First Lady. The intervention is expected to improve the beneficiary’s mobility, promote greater independence and ease the challenges she faces in her daily life.
The donation is part of the First Lady’s ongoing humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable groups across Jigawa State, including orphans, persons living with disabilities, widows and other disadvantaged members of society.
Her office has continued to implement programmes focused on enhancing the welfare and quality of life of those in need.
Community leaders and residents praised the gesture, describing it as a reflection of compassion, generosity and inclusive leadership.
They said the donation would not only restore hope to the beneficiary but also inspire greater public support for persons living with disabilities.
According to them, humanitarian interventions of this nature play an important role in promoting social inclusion, reducing hardship and ensuring that vulnerable members of society are not left behind in the state’s development efforts.
The beneficiary and members of the community also offered prayers for Ambassador Dr. Hajiya Amina Umar Namadi, asking Almighty Allah to bless her with good health, wisdom, long life and continued strength to serve the people of Jigawa State and Nigeria.
They further prayed that her acts of kindness would continue to attract divine blessings and lasting rewards in this world and the hereafter.
