Residents of Kaduna State have praised Governor Uba Sani for the remarkable achievements recorded under the Kaduna Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (KADRAAMP), citing significant improvements in rural infrastructure and agricultural marketing across the state.

The commendation was expressed by farmers, traders, youth groups, and community leaders from various local government areas, who noted that the project, under the leadership of Engineer Zubairu Abubakar Balarabe, has positively transformed rural communities through improved road networks and enhanced market access.

According to the residents, KADRAAMP has substantially eased transportation challenges faced by farmers by rehabilitating and upgrading rural roads, making it easier to move agricultural produce from farming communities to urban markets.

They observed that the improved road infrastructure has helped reduce post-harvest losses, lower transportation costs, and increase farmers’ earnings, thereby improving livelihoods and boosting economic activities in rural areas.

Traders also acknowledged that better access to markets has strengthened commercial activities, stimulated local economies, and encouraged greater participation in agricultural value chains across Kaduna State.

Community leaders described the project as a catalyst for rural development, noting that it has opened up previously inaccessible communities and enhanced access to social and economic services.

Youth groups equally commended the initiative, highlighting the indirect employment opportunities generated through construction activities and improved agricultural marketing systems. They described the project as a key driver of economic empowerment and inclusive growth.

Observers said the achievements recorded under KADRAAMP reflect Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to rural transformation, agricultural development, and economic inclusion, while also demonstrating the impact of strategic investments in infrastructure.

While applauding the successes recorded so far, the residents called for the expansion of the programme to additional rural communities across the state. They also urged sustained funding and effective supervision to consolidate the gains achieved under the stewardship of Engineer Zubairu Abubakar Balarabe and ensure long-term impact.
