The Kano State Police Command has announced the successful and peaceful conclusion of the 2026 Police Constable Recruitment Screening Exercise, held at the Police Officers’ Mess, Bompai, Kano, on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
In a statement issued by the Command, the exercise, which began on March 9, was conducted in strict adherence to the guidelines set by the Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission (PSC), ensuring a transparent, fair, and credible process.

The screening was carried out in two phases, with the physical screening handled by the Police Recruitment Team, while the credentials screening was conducted by the PSC team led by Alhaji Ibrahim Maikudi. Both teams worked in close collaboration to guarantee integrity throughout the exercise.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the Head of the Police Recruitment Team, DCP Habibu Rabiu, alongside all officers involved, for their professionalism, discipline, and dedication.

He also expressed appreciation to key stakeholders, including the Kano State Government through the Guidance and Counselling Board, the Police Community Relations Committee led by Ambassador Ali Hassan Tudun Bayero, and the Federal Character Commission team headed by Alhaji Garba Mohammed, for their oversight and commitment to transparency.
Reiterating the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, CP Bakori stressed that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge.

“The recruitment exercise is completely free. Candidates and members of the public are advised to be wary of fraudsters and impostors seeking to extort money or offer undue advantages,” he warned, urging that any suspicious activity be reported to the nearest police station.
The Command noted that the screening exercise was conducted under tight security, with no recorded breach of peace, and commended candidates, parents, and guardians for their orderly conduct and cooperation.
As the screening phase concludes, CP Bakori congratulated all candidates who participated successfully and wished them the best in the next stage of the recruitment process.
He advised candidates to remain law-abiding, stay alert for official communication, and disregard rumours or unofficial information.
The Kano State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to a recruitment process that aligns with global best practices and the vision of the Inspector-General of Police for a more professional and accountable Nigeria Police Force.
