The Kano State Police Command has successfully recovered a Toyota Sienna motor vehicle and handed it over to its rightful owner, Mr. Ali Alti.
The maroon-colored Toyota Sienna, bearing registration number RBC-801HM and valued at Twenty Million Naira (₦20,000,000), was stolen on January 5, 2026, from Maiduguri GRA, Borno State, by a security watchman.
Acting on the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, on strategic intelligence-led visibility patrols, police officers attached to the Hotoro Police Division, Kano, recovered the vehicle at Hotoro Arewa Quarters on January 7, 2026.
Following the recovery, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, ordered the immediate handover of the vehicle to Mr. Ali Alti after due verification of ownership documents.
Meanwhile, four suspects are currently under investigation in connection with the vehicle theft in Maiduguri. The Commissioner of Police has also advised members of the public to exercise caution when engaging individuals for domestic and security-related services.
The Kano State Police Command commends the dedication and professionalism of its officers and appreciates the continued cooperation and support of the public in the fight against crime across the state.
