The Kano State Police Command has recovered a stolen Toyota Hilux vehicle attached to the Governor’s Advance Teams and arrested a suspect, Ya’u Inuwa, a 50-year-old driver in the Government House.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa in Kano on Wednesday.
He said that the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, had ordered the closure of all entry and exit points in the state and directed the recovery of the vehicle and arrest of those involved.

“Following investigations, Ya’u Inuwa, a 50-year-old driver in the Government House, was arrested in connection with the theft, and the vehicle was recovered in Unguwa-Uku, ‘Yan Awaki Quarters, Kano,” he added.
Kiyawa said that the suspect confessed to conspiring with two others, who were still at large.
“The Police Command appreciated the prompt report by Government House officials and assured the public of its commitment to investigating and bringing perpetrators to justice.” Kiyawa said.
