President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council, the Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has confirmed.

The council welcomed the appointment, describing it as well deserved and expressing confidence in Adeleke’s ability to mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the forthcoming presidential election.

In a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Dr Kamarudeen Olalere Oyewumi, TICC pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for the President in Osun State.

The council also assured Tinubu that structures of the Accord Party across the state would work towards securing his re-election.

According to TICC, the appointment reflects the President’s confidence in Adeleke’s capacity to mobilise voters and secure electoral support for him in Osun.

“The Imole Campaign Council welcomes the appointment of Governor Adeleke as State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun,” the statement read.

“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced.”

The council further reiterated its commitment to delivering 1.5 million votes for Tinubu, recalling Adeleke’s earlier pledge to mobilise substantial electoral support for the President.

TICC also called on the people of Osun State to continue supporting Adeleke, expressing confidence that the governor would fulfil his campaign promises.

It urged residents to support Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election, arguing that backing the President would also amount to supporting Adeleke’s administration.

“Our message to the people of Osun State is to keep trusting and supporting Governor Adeleke as he continues to deliver on his campaign promises. A vote for President Tinubu is a support for Governor Adeleke,” the statement added.
