Customs Service Announces Physical Screening for Successful Recruitment Candidates

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the schedule for the physical screening and documentation exercise for successful candidates shortlisted for recruitment into the Service.

The exercise will be conducted at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.

According to a statement issued by the NCS on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, all shortlisted candidates are required to appear at the designated venue on the date allocated to their respective states and cadres.

Candidates are expected to come along with the original and photocopies of the following documents:
National Identification Number (NIN);
Original Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age;
Educational certificates, including O’Level, ND, HND, Degree or other applicable qualifications;
Certificate of State of Origin;
Two recent passport photographs;
Completed Guarantor’s Form; and
NYSC Certificate, where applicable.

The Service also directed candidates to wear a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes for the physical screening exercise.

The NCS warned that attendance is compulsory and that candidates who fail to appear on their scheduled dates may be disqualified from the recruitment process.

It further stated that candidates who successfully complete the physical screening and documentation will receive additional instructions on the subsequent stages of the recruitment exercise.

The Service, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and his management team, reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process.

The NCS urged candidates and members of the public to rely only on official communication channels of the Service for accurate information concerning the screening and documentation exercise.
