The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, on Monday represented the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, at the Nigeria Infrastructure Conference (INFRACON) 2026 in Abuja.
The two-day conference, organised by the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), is taking place at the Afreximbank African Trade Centre (AATC) Towers.
A statement issued by Senator Sani Musa’s media office said the lawmaker delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Senate President, reaffirming the commitment of the 10th National Assembly to enacting laws that support infrastructure financing, strengthen public-private partnerships (PPPs), and create an enabling environment for sustainable economic growth.
According to him, robust infrastructure remains the foundation of economic prosperity, industrialisation, job creation and improved living standards for Nigerians.
Senator Sani Musa also stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to address Nigeria’s infrastructure deficit and unlock the country’s development potential.
The conference brought together senior government officials, financial institutions, multilateral development partners, investors and private sector leaders to examine innovative financing models and practical strategies for accelerating infrastructure development across Nigeria.
Following his participation at the conference, Senator Sani Musa presided over the Senate Committee on Finance’s ongoing investigative hearing on Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), as the committee continued its oversight activities.
