Association from Munya Local Government Area of Niger State have paid a solidarity visit to Senator Sani Musa at his Abuja residence, expressing strong support for his leadership and performance at the National Assembly.

The delegation, made up of student leaders and youths, said the visit was to appreciate the senator’s contributions to governance, particularly his efforts in tackling insecurity and promoting development across the Niger East Senatorial District.

Speaking on behalf of the group, its leader, Jagaba Yohana, commended Senator Musa for his commitment to improving security in the region.

He noted that the relative peace recorded in recent times has enabled residents to return to farming activities, thereby boosting livelihoods and economic stability in affected communities.

The students also revealed plans to organise a rally and march-past across Zone B of the Niger East Senatorial District as a demonstration of their continued support for the lawmaker.

They urged him to sustain the implementation of people-oriented projects that would further deliver democratic dividends to constituents. In his response, Senator Musa expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a reflection of growing political awareness and active participation among young people.

He said he was encouraged by the students’ sense of responsibility and understanding of community needs. The senator urged the youths to remain patriotic and committed to nation-building, stressing the importance of protecting public assets funded with taxpayers’ money.

He also called on them to support the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Umar Bago to ensure the delivery of more development projects across the state and the country.

Highlighting his achievements, Senator Musa listed the provision of boreholes in rural communities, distribution of fertiliser and improved seedlings to farmers, and construction of classroom blocks in selected schools within the district.

He also pointed to his contributions to security through the donation of patrol vehicles to vigilante groups, as well as his legislative efforts, including sponsoring motions and bills aimed at addressing insecurity.

The lawmaker further disclosed that his ongoing scholarship programme continues to benefit indigent students from the nine local government areas of the district, with beneficiaries selected strictly on merit.

In addition, he noted that hundreds of youths and women have been empowered through skills acquisition training and the provision of start-up kits.

On the responsible use of social media, Senator Musa cautioned against the spread of misinformation, libel, and online abuse. He advised young people to promote factual information and highlight developmental achievements rather than engaging in negative discourse.

“You should not respond to insults with insults, but rather showcase the projects executed for the benefit of the people,” he said.

He concluded by urging the students to remain disciplined and focused, describing them as future leaders whose actions today will shape the nation’s tomorrow.
