The Governor of Abba Kabir Yusuf has extended warm felicitations to the people of Kano State on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The message was conveyed in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Governor Yusuf described Eid-el-Fitr as a moment for gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the enduring values of faith, unity, and compassion demonstrated throughout the Ramadan period.
He called on residents to celebrate the Sallah festivities peacefully and responsibly, urging them to refrain from actions that could disrupt the peace and stability of the state.
The governor stressed the need to sustain the spirit of tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence among citizens, regardless of their differences.
He also urged parents and guardians to counsel their children and wards to remain law-abiding and conduct themselves responsibly during the celebrations.
Governor Yusuf encouraged residents to extend love and support to the less privileged in society, in line with the teachings of Islam.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the protection of lives and property, the governor assured that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration across the state.
He wished the people of Kano a happy, peaceful, and blessed Eid-el-Fitr.
