The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully completed the medical screening and immunization of 1,253 intending pilgrims as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The screening, conducted at the Hajj Camp Clinic, involved pilgrims drawn from 20 Local Government Areas across Kano State. The exercise is aimed at ensuring that all intending pilgrims are medically fit and properly immunized in compliance with both national and international health requirements governing Hajj operations.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Dr. Aminu Da’u, who led the medical team supervising the process, confirmed the successful screening and immunization of the 1,253 pilgrims. He stressed that the initiative is critical to safeguarding the health and well-being of pilgrims throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia.
According to him, the screening is being carried out in phases to ensure that all registered pilgrims across the state are adequately attended to without congestion or delay. He assured that experienced and qualified healthcare professionals are handling the process with the highest level of care and professionalism.
The Board reiterated its commitment to delivering a smooth and hitch-free Hajj operation, placing strong emphasis on the health, safety, and welfare of all intending pilgrims.
The medical screening and immunization exercise will continue as scheduled for the remaining pilgrims across the state.
