Former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies and programmes as the country looks toward the 2027 general elections.
Wamakko made the declaration on Tuesday at the Sokoto Government House during the flag-off ceremony for the reconstruction of the fire-ravaged section of the Sokoto Central Market.
The senator praised President Tinubu for what he described as consistent and timely release of statutory allocations to state governments, noting that the gesture has been critical to effective governance and sustainable development across the country.
He also commended the Tinubu administration for what he termed unprecedented federal appointments benefiting Sokoto State, saying the level of inclusiveness and representation enjoyed by the state under the current administration was unmatched in its political history.
Wamakko urged residents of Sokoto State and Nigerians at large to acknowledge the efforts of the Federal Government and continue to support President Tinubu’s policies and reform programmes.
In the same vein, he lauded Governor Ahmad Aliyu for his commitment to development, particularly in the areas of infrastructure renewal and economic revitalisation. The senator assured the governor of the continued support of political leaders and key stakeholders in advancing the state’s development agenda.
