The Kano State Police Command has intensified its security operations as part of renewed efforts to strengthen border surveillance and enhance safety across the state.
This was revealed in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.
According to the statement, Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori held a strategic meeting on Monday with all operations commanders, where he reviewed recent security achievements and commended officers for their dedication to duty.
The discussion also centred on refining operational strategies in line with directives from the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. CP Bakori urged commanders to scale up community engagement initiatives and increase public awareness on the importance of residents’ cooperation in sustaining peace.
He further outlined the ongoing security enhancements in border communities across Shanono, Tsanyawa and Rogo local government areas, emphasising the need for continuous vigilance, increased personnel deployment and improved operational assets.
CP Bakori reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding Kano State and charged officers to remain proactive in intelligence gathering and crime prevention.
