The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has sustained the Quarter Two (Q2) Joint Supportive Supervision (JSS) exercise across public and private healthcare facilities in Kano State, marking the fourth consecutive day of coordinated supervision.
The exercise, which began earlier in the week with an orientation meeting at the Agency’s Conference Room, continues to bring together multiple stakeholders working collectively to uphold healthcare standards and strengthen service delivery.
During the visits, the Joint Supervision Teams assessed facility compliance with established quality standards and clinical protocols, reviewed data management and infection prevention practices, and provided on-the-job mentoring and technical support to healthcare workers.
Emphasis was also placed on improving documentation, reporting, and internal quality assurance mechanisms within facilities.
The JSS teams comprise representatives from KSCHMA, the Kano State Ministry of Health, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), the Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA), the Hospitals Management Board (HMB), the Primary Healthcare Management Board (PHCMB), the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), the National Association of Nurses and Midwifery (NANNM), the Office of the Head of Service, and the Kano State Anti-Corruption Commission.
The continuation of the supervision exercise demonstrates KSCHMA’s unwavering commitment to improving access to safe, effective, and sustainable healthcare services for enrollees under the scheme and the people of Kano State at large.
KSCHMA cares: One Voice, One Health, One Future
