By Editor The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has expressed profound grief over the tragic death of two intending pilgrims, Alkasim Ibrahim Walawa and his mother, Hadiza Garba, who lost their lives in a fatal road accident.
The unfortunate incident occurred along the Rimin Gado–Kano City road as the victims were preparing for their spiritual journey to the Holy Land.
Alkasim Ibrahim Walawa, 48, is survived by two wives and seven children, while his mother, Hadiza Garba, 73, leaves behind five children. Both were indigenes of Walawa Village in Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State.
Their deaths have been described as particularly heartbreaking, given that they were embarking on a sacred pilgrimage—an act of devotion and faith.
In a joint condolence message, the Board, alongside its management and Board of Directors, prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and asked Almighty Allah to grant them eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
The Board also extended its heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, urging them to find strength and patience in this moment of deep sorrow.
