The Kano State Police Command has announced that the ongoing Police Constable recruitment screening exercise in the state is proceeding smoothly and without any challenges.

The exercise, taking place at the Police Officers’ Mess in Bompai, Kano, began on March 9, 2026. It is being conducted in two phases, with the Nigeria Police Force handling the physical screening of candidates, while the Police Service Commission (PSC) oversees the verification of credentials.

A delegation from the Police Service Commission, led by Alhaji Ibrahim Maikudi, is actively collaborating with the police team to ensure that the process strictly follows established guidelines.

The Command emphasized that the recruitment exercise continues to maintain high standards of professionalism, transparency, and integrity.

As of April 11, 2026, the screening is ongoing as scheduled, with candidates being processed in an orderly and efficient manner.

The head of the Police Recruitment Team, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Habibu Rabiu, commended officers involved in the exercise for their discipline and dedication. He urged them to sustain their commitment to ensuring that the process remains fair, credible, and free from malpractice.

Rabiu also reiterated the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, that the recruitment process is completely free of charge. He warned candidates and the general public to be cautious of fraudsters and impostors who may attempt to extort money or offer illegal assistance in securing recruitment slots.

The Command assured applicants and the public of a transparent and credible exercise, noting that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee the safety of all participants at the venue.

It further appreciated the cooperation of candidates and encouraged them to remain orderly and strictly adhere to all guidelines provided by officials throughout the exercise.
