Gov. Yusuf Sacks Commissioner Sagagi in Strategic Cabinet Reshuffle

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi of his position as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry with immediate effect.


The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
According to the statement, Sagagi has been directed to hand over the affairs of the ministry to the Director of Commerce pending further directives.


Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation for the contributions of the former commissioner during his time in office, noting that his efforts played a role in advancing key sectors of the state’s economy.


The governor specifically acknowledged Sagagi’s impact in the areas of politics, religious engagement, and the promotion of small and medium enterprises, which are critical to economic growth and job creation.


He also wished the former commissioner success in his future endeavours, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to effective service delivery and good governance.


The statement added that the decision forms part of an ongoing strategic realignment of government structures aimed at enhancing efficiency, ensuring systematic growth, and promoting sustainable development across Kano State.
