The Acting Corps Commander Education (Ag CC Edn), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has decorated five senior officers newly promoted from the rank of Major to Lieutenant Colonel, following approval by the Nigerian Army Council.
The investiture ceremony took place at the Headquarters Nigerian Army Education Corps (HQ NAEC), An Barracks, Yaba, Lagos, and marked another milestone in the professional advancement of officers within the Corps.
According to a statement signed by Captain Abdullahi Lawal Osabo, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations at HQ NAEC, the officers decorated were Lieutenant Colonels Samuel Samson, James Oko Egwu, Paul Mathew Ambore, Ismail Ajibola Usman, and Hamza Modibbo Ahmad.
In his remarks, Brigadier General Ahmed congratulated the officers, describing their promotion as a reflection of their dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service to the Nigerian Army. He urged them to view their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility, emphasizing the need for strong leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence.
He also highlighted the importance of integrity and continuous self-development, especially in the evolving field of military education and operations. The Corps Commander appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, for approving the promotions and reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to achieving the Army’s command philosophy.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Samson expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in them and pledged their continued loyalty and service.
The event was attended by senior officers, colleagues, family members, and well-wishers.
