Pledge

The newly appointed Managing Director of the Kano State Zoological and Wildlife Management Agency (KAZOWMA), Hon.
Musayyib Kawu has pledged to reposition the Kano Zoo to enhance tourism and recreational activities in the state.
Kawu made the pledge while delivering his inaugural address after assuming office.
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer of Kano Zoo, Hauwa Adam on Tuesday in Kano.
According to the statement, “this administration will focus on upgrading and renovating existing infrastructure at the zoo.
“We will introduce new animal species and improve staff welfare to ensure efficient service delivery.
“Detailed assessment of the agency’s challenges and needs will be compiled and submitted to state government to strengthen zoo’s status as a major tourist destination”,he said in the statement.
Kawu also commend the governor for his leadership and urged residents of the state to actively participate in democratic process by obtaining and renewing their Permanent Voter Cards.
