The Police Service Commission (PSC) has concluded deliberations on 24 appeals and one pending disciplinary matter during its ongoing Plenary Meeting held at the Solomon Arase Conference Hall over the weekend.In a statement issued by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission emphasized that all pending disciplinary matters will now receive timely attention to ensure that officers found not guilty can continue their career progression without delay.

In a statement issued by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission emphasized that all pending disciplinary matters will now receive timely attention to ensure that officers found not guilty can continue their career progression without delay.
Among key decisions, the Commission dismissed a petition against Deputy Inspector General of Police Bzigu Yakubu Kwazhi Dali, mni, regarding alleged falsification of his enlistment date and other service record irregularities.The complaint, filed anonymously by senior officers from Adamawa State, was deemed frivolous.
The PSC also declared a warning letter issued to DIG Dali as null and void, as it did not originate from the Commission.
Additionally, a reversal of his date of birth was quashed.The PSC also reviewed the case of ACP Ejiofor Grace Obiageli, who was compulsorily retired following the tragic events of September 8, 2023, in Akamkpa, Cross River State.
The Commission approved her reinstatement from the date of her retirement and ordered she be properly placed in line with her peers.
Other disciplinary decisions included the removal of severe reprimand from ACP Muhammad Awwal Yunusa, reinstatement and restoration of rank for CSP Ihekandu Allwell Okwuonu (subject to retirement date), and date adjustments or reinstatements for SP Clement Awoyemi, ASP Bamiselu Oluwaseun, ASP Ahmed Monday, and ASP Imoohi Doora.
