Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has urged youths across the state to sustain grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The governor made the call on Wednesday during the inauguration of 528 Tinubu ambassadors under the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) movement at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The inauguration is part of the movement’s efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures and expand community-based mobilisation across the state ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The ambassadors are expected to engage residents at the community level, mobilise youths and women, and sensitise the public on the movement’s objectives.

Governor Yusuf charged the newly inaugurated ambassadors to remain committed to their responsibilities, maintain regular contact with residents, and promote peaceful political participation.

He also emphasised the need to protect voters’ choices through lawful means throughout the electoral process.

Yusuf reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid and urged the ambassadors to intensify their engagement with communities across Kano State.

A4A Unveils Grassroots Mobilisation Plans

Following the inauguration, the National Director-General of A4A, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, led a delegation to the Government House in Kano for a courtesy visit to the governor.

During the visit, the Kano State Coordinator of the movement, Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo, briefed the governor on its mobilisation plans and strategies for expanding its presence across the state.

Gwarzo assured the governor that the Kano chapter would strengthen its grassroots structures, coordinate activities across the 44 local government areas, and sustain engagement with supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration of the 528 ambassadors marks another organisational step by the A4A movement to establish community-level networks and coordinate its political mobilisation activities in Kano State.

The development was disclosed in a press release issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director-General of Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano.
