The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced ₦7,672,822 as the approved fare for intending pilgrims from the state for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage.
The announcement followed a directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and consultations on the final Hajj fare.

The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, confirmed that the approved fare applies to all intending pilgrims from Kano State.

Matawalle also urged intending pilgrims to submit their international passports promptly to enable the board to upload and process their details ahead of the pilgrimage.

According to him, passport uploading will continue until the stipulated deadline, and pilgrims are encouraged to submit their passports even if they have not yet completed payment of the approved fare.

He further explained that pilgrims who have already paid ₦7 million are required to pay an additional ₦672,822 to complete their payment.

The board said the deadline for payment is August 31, 2026, in accordance with the directive issued by NAHCON.

Meanwhile, intending pilgrims making fresh payments are required to pay the full approved fare of ₦7,672,822.

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board urged all intending pilgrims to meet the payment and passport submission deadlines to facilitate timely processing and preparations for the 2027 Hajj.
