Kano Pilgrims Board Strengthens Security Ties, Reaffirms Commitment to Safe Hajj Operations

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has reiterated the Board’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of pilgrims from the state.

He made this known while receiving the Commander of the 3 Brigade, Kano, Brigadier General A.M. Tukur, during a courtesy visit to the Board’s headquarters.

Matawalle explained that since assuming office, his administration has placed high priority on fostering strong and effective partnerships with security agencies to ensure a safe and hitch-free pilgrimage exercise.

According to him, enhanced collaboration with security operatives remains key to guaranteeing the protection of intending pilgrims before, during, and after the Hajj.

In his remarks, Brigadier General Tukur said the visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation and operational synergy between the Nigerian Army and the Pilgrims Welfare Board in Kano State, particularly in areas of security coordination.

Meanwhile, the Director General also hosted the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kankarofi Ward in Kano Municipal Local Government Area.

During the meeting, he presented them with Federal Government forms designed to facilitate access to support and assistance initiatives.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the APC Ward Chairman, Alhaji Sha’aibu Gambo, alongside the Chairman of Mai Taimako Organization, Alhaji Nura Bako, commended Matawalle for his continued support and dedication to community development.

In a similar development, members of the Abba/Tinubu Support Organization, led by Sa’ad Sulaiman Gezawa, paid a courtesy visit to the Board, further underscoring growing stakeholder engagement with the agency.
