A member of the National Assembly, Sani Musa, has congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr and the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, calling for unity, prayer and collective responsibility to address Nigeria’s challenges.
Senator Musa, who represents Niger East under the All Progressives Congress and chairs the Senate Committee on Finance, conveyed his goodwill message in a statement issued on Friday in Kano.
He urged Muslims to sustain the spirit of Ramadan by upholding charity, piety and peaceful coexistence in their daily lives.
According to him, the holy month was a period of immense blessings, devotion, sacrifice and spiritual renewal.
The lawmaker encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in prayers and to continue strengthening their relationship with Almighty Allah beyond the fasting period.
Senator Musa also called on Nigerians to work together in promoting national unity, security and economic stability. He stressed that overcoming the country’s pressing challenges requires citizens and leaders to put service, empathy and national interest above personal gains.
He advised young people to channel their energy into productive and positive ventures that will contribute to national development.
The senator further urged Muslims to emulate the virtues of obedience, love and unity exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Muhammad, noting that such values are essential for peaceful coexistence.
“As Ramadan ends, our hearts are filled with gratitude for witnessing its completion.
Eid-el-Fitr is a day of spiritual fulfilment and celebration,” he said, encouraging Muslims to retain the lessons of righteousness, truth and patience learned during the holy month.
He prayed that the good deeds and supplications offered during Ramadan would be accepted and rewarded abundantly.
Felicitating with Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, Senator Musa called for sustained prayers for peace, prosperity and an end to insecurity in Nigeria.
The statement was made available to journalists through the News Agency of Nigeria.
