The Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has deployed 1,000 personnel to strategic locations across Kano State as part of preparations for the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
The proactive deployment is aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow and maintaining public order during the festive period, when large crowds and increased vehicular movement are expected. Officers will be stationed at major roads, Eid prayer grounds, and popular recreational centres across the state.
Managing Director of KAROTA, Faisal Mahmud Kabir, said the agency remains committed to protecting road users and reducing congestion throughout the celebrations. He emphasized that traffic control measures have been strengthened to guarantee safer and more efficient movement for residents and visitors.
Kabir also called on motorists and commuters to cooperate fully with traffic officials and comply with road safety regulations to ensure a smooth and incident-free Sallah holiday.
The directive was conveyed in a statement issued by KAROTA’s Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada.
Also speaking, the agency’s Head of Operations General, Auwal Shehu Muhammad Kofar Mata, conveyed the Managing Director’s goodwill message, wishing residents a peaceful, safe, and enjoyable Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
