The Kano State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s community policing initiative, on 9th February 2026 hosted students and staff of Big Trust Academy, Sharada, Kano, on an educational visit and familiarization tour of the Command Headquarters.
The excursion commenced at the Bompai Division, where the students were introduced to the fundamental duties of divisional police officers, including procedures for incident reporting and the importance of maintaining law and order at the grassroots level.

The visit proceeded to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), where the students were received by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of SCID and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations. The senior officers highlighted the critical role of the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring national security and safeguarding lives and property. They further advised the students to remain law-abiding and disciplined, and to refrain from engaging in crime, drug abuse, and other social vices that could undermine their future aspirations.
The visit concluded with an interactive session, during which the students asked questions and gained deeper insights into police operations. The management of Big Trust Academy expressed appreciation to the Command for the warm reception and the valuable knowledge shared with the students.
