The Kano Police Command has arrested three-armed robbery suspects and recovered firearms and ammunition as part of efforts to combat crime in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by the command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Kiyawa.
Kiyawa said the command’s Special Weapons and Tactics Base, Dorayi, acting on credible intelligence, arrested the suspects at Bachirawa Quarters in Kano State.
He explained that the suspects had confessed to committing a series of armed robbery activities within Kano metropolis, alongside other members of the gang.

“The police recovered a Beretta pistol with breech No. 2322892, a fabricated Beretta pistol, and 23 rounds of 9mm live ammunition from them,” he said.
The Kano Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, commended the officers for their commitment and thanked the public for their support and cooperation; the investigations are ongoing.
