The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of two prominent members of the Kano State House of Assembly.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of its members, the Union extended heartfelt sympathies to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, the government, and the people of the state over the tragic loss.
The statement, jointly signed by the Council’s Chairman, Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, and the Acting Secretary, Hauwa Suleiman Zaharaddeen, described the deaths as a painful loss not only to the legislature but to Kano State as a whole.
The NUJ also commiserated with the families of the deceased lawmakers, praying for strength and comfort during the period of mourning.
“We pray that Allah (S.W.T) grants the bereaved families the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss and admits the souls of the departed into Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement concluded.
