The Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), a political support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Northern Nigeria, has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the Tinubu Mass Mobilization Network (TMMN) to intensify public sensitisation and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The commitment was made when the Director-General of A4A, former Minister of Defence and former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, received a delegation of TMMN leaders at the group’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking during the visit, the National Chairman of TMMN, Hon. Zaharadden Zakari, disclosed that the organisation has over 20,000 members across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He explained that the network had commenced mobilisation activities at various levels, reaching out to communities to engage residents and create awareness about the 2027 general elections.
Addressing public concerns over the removal of fuel subsidies and its economic implications, Zakari said Nigerians needed to understand that rising energy costs were not peculiar to the country, but part of a broader global challenge affecting several nations.
Responding, A4A Director-General, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, assured the TMMN delegation of his organisation’s willingness to work closely with the network in pursuing their shared objectives.
Badaru emphasised the importance of unity, cooperation and collective efforts in advancing public awareness and implementing the activities planned by both organisations.
Earlier, TMMN had announced plans to embark on a nationwide sensitisation campaign across 413 local government areas in Northern Nigeria to educate residents about the policies, programmes and initiatives of the Tinubu administration.
According to the group, the campaign will focus on explaining various government initiatives, including the development of railway transportation, measures aimed at addressing rising food prices, employment opportunities and programmes designed to strengthen livestock production.
The organisation said the proposed engagements would provide an opportunity to interact directly with communities and communicate government policies and programmes to residents across the region.
The planned collaboration between A4A and TMMN is expected to provide a platform for coordinating their respective mobilisation and public sensitisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
